Description
In recent years I have become more closely connected with the North Norfolk Railway. This opened between Sheringham and Weybourne in 1976 and extended to Holt in 1987. I have watched its locomotive base change from reliance on ex-industrial locos to a significant stud of former mainline engines. Even now it hosts regular visits by large locos but, with the increased probability of a limited-use mainline connection, the scope for visiting locos looks set to increase. Once again this is but a small interim selection of images.

For the peak season the North Norfolk Railway is hosting the G.W.R.-designed 0-6-0PT No. 1638 from the K.& E.S.R. Although it arrived near the end of July, personal restraints and poor weather have so far prevented me from getting to see it. Also from mid-August there will be a repeat visit of the Furness Railway Trust's G.W.R. 0-6-2T No. 5643. Let's hope it faces uphill this time! - Website Restored on
